New 4 Post Rack Top Trough Waterfall
A new rack top cable routing trough is now available to
further improve the cable routing of the 4 Post Rack.
The PANDUIT 4 Post Rack has become the new
standard for mounting deep equipment. The 4 Post Rack
Top Trough is used to create a pathway above the rack
and to provide bend radius control for overhead cables
as they transition into the vertical manager. The 4 Post
Rack Top Trough is designed for use with CMR4P84 and
CMR4P84CN racks.
Features and Benefits:
 |
Provides a pathway to route cables along the top of
the rack or along a row of racks with
PatchRunner and NetRunner
Vertical Cable Managers |
 |
Pathway includes a front and rear flange to conceal
cable for improved aesthetics in the data centre |
 |
Bend radius formed in to pathway edges to protect
cable as it transitions in to the vertical cable
manager |
 |
Multiple mounting hole locations for securing ladder
rack and threaded rod |

Strain Relief Bar Kits
PANDUIT now offers 19" rack mountable strain
relief bar (SRB) kits. The kits include PANDUIT
patented "Quick Release Brackets" and a corresponding
strain relief bar that support cables behind a patch
panel. Each SRB kit comes partially assembled, requiring
only installation of the latching bracket to the rack or
cabinet.
By packaging strain relief bars into complete kits,
customers obtain benefits such as:
 |
Better ordering efficiency due to a single part
number for the package |
 |
Better organisation and logistics by having the
components packaged in one box |
 |
Lower installed cost through reduced installation
time |

Field Polish Fibre Optic Connectors Require Less
Polishing Time and Consumables
An improved polishing process has been developed for our
2.5mm field polish fibre connectors (SC, ST, and FJ Jack
Module and Plug) to:
 |
Reduce polishing time |
 |
Reduce film consumable cost per connector |
 |
Provide familiarity between singlemode and multimode
terminations and consumables |
The FPP1-L 1-micron aluminium oxide polishing paper for
multimode connectors is no longer required and the more
durable FPF1-V 1-micron diamond film will be used for
singlemode and multimode connectors. This is a "running"
change that can be implemented at each customer's
preference and applies to existing and new field polish
connectors, termination kits and consumables, using the
updated installation instructions.
As of May 1, 2007, all field polish kits will no longer
include the 50 pieces of 1-micron aluminium oxide
polishing paper and the quantity of 1-micron diamond
film will be reduced from 15 to 5 pieces. Customers can
continue to order the 1-micron aluminium oxide polishing
paper separately (if desired) until it is used up (end
of 2007). All field polish connectors packaged after May
1 will include updated instructions for singlemode and
multimode combined.
